Welcome to Bishop Ochola's blog. My name is Ellie Bunting, and I have had the pleasure of working with the Bishop on a book he is writing about his life, his culture, and the history of his country of northern Uganda. We have finished a very rough draft of the book and plan to post sections on this blog after they have been edited. We welcome your comments, questions, and opinions. We hope to post two or three sections per week, so keep checking on our progress.
Bishop Ochola,
This is Ashley, from Invisible Children. We met several times when we were both traveling the United States speaking about the conflict in Northern Uganda.
I wanted to let you know that I will be living in Gulu for 3 months working at Gulu Regional Hospital.
I hope that we can meet up again, and that you are well.
Love, Ashley

Bishop Ochola,
Is it possible to get a audio transcript of your Jan 23, 06 speech at the Capital Building? I have read excerpts but if it is available, I would very much like to hear the speech in its entirety.
Thank-you.

Me too, I was named Ochola. Although I am a Luo from Kenya, I can identify with many of the things contained in this great story. I find it interesting to contemplate the meaning of this name among the Lwo and the Luo, peoples who are indeed one.
